A Gift Basket Can Make Spirits Soar, Stress Melt Away

A gift basket given at an opportune time can really make a difference.

I had just gotten a divorce and was feeling down in the dumps. I was reluctant to talk to my parents about it (I mean, it seemed like we were the perfect couple) but after they called to check in, the floodgates just burst open.

Three days later I got a package in the mail

It was a beautiful arrangement of my favourite chocolate bars--Mars bars, Twix, Snickers, you name it. It got me in a wistful, nostalgic mood and got me reminiscing about the good old days. Suffice to say, as soon as I unwrapped one of those bars, I felt my spirits soar and some of the stress melt away.

I really have to thank that gift basket for helping me through what could have been an unbearably difficult time. If it weren't for my parents' return address stuck on the package, I could've sworn it was heaven-sent.
