Absence makes the heart grow fonder

Dearest Eric, Before anything else, I would like to tell you I love you very much! We have been separated for 1 year and I did not think it would be this hard. I guess we both thought that things will not be too hard.
You would follow me after a month, but things did not turn out that way. Instead it has been almost a year of being apart.
Thankfully, we have been communicating regularly through skype and handwritten mails. Every time I received the handwritten letters I could not help but feel in love again. I guess, it really is different to have something tangible to hold to instead of depending on the technology.
I always think of you, even in the most unusual situations, such as my daily commute or just washing my hands. Whenever I go to a restaurant, I cannot help but wish it was you sitting in front of me.
I have always thought about you...more than you’ll ever know. I just don’t talk much because I think we will both feel sad and helpless of our current situation.
I know this is just a test, and soon we will be together. Absence makes the heart grow fonder and it had matured us and our relationship. I love you very much; just hold on to our relationship. I will continue waiting for you!
Sincerely,
Beatrice
