Dear Christine K. Parker,
First, I have to thank you for taking the time out of your schedule last week to meet with me. I really appreciate considering me for the book cover artist position. This position is much coveted in the Lakeland creative arts community. Your consideration and support of my credentials is quite touching.
To give you deeper knowledge of my professional background, I have enclosed my resume along with a digital copy my portfolio. I think you will find that my educational background has contributed to my talent and credentials just as much as raw passion.
For several years, while studying at Lakeland Art Institute, I studied alongside the best of the best in creative arts. Their talent, knowledge and desire made honing my craft an experience of a lifetime. Working with them day in and day out, for hours, days sometimes at a time, I believe they know my artistic style and capabilities best. I therefore have included three of these esteemed professionals in my listed references and the best ways to get in touch with them. Please, feel free to contact them as soon as you possibly can. They have already expressed their eagerness to speak with you and would be more than happy to speak with your client as well.
If you need at clarification or additional information that I have not provided in the enclosed, please do not hesitate to contact me. As always, your insights and suggestions mean a lot to me. I feel confident that the included portfolio will make a strong impression on your client. I look forward to your correspondence. Again, thank you so much for this consideration.
