The Honourable Judge
RE: Character Reference - Albert Ford (Fictitious Name)
I, Your Name, am aware that Mr. Albert Ford faces criminal sentencing today before your court. The purpose of this letter is to serve as a character reference on behalf of Mr. Ford, whom I have known as a roommate and friend for six years.
I've gotten to known Mr. Ford well over the past six years and I believe it puts me in a position to provide you with a rather unique, albeit personal assessment of his character.
As a friend he is the best. He's of good moral character, honest, loyal and extremely considerate. Albert is also a supportive person who has the ability to see and understand things from another person's perspective. Consequently, he has great empathy for others.
Mr. Ford is also a great, direct communicator and knows how to raise and discuss common living issues and problems in a non-threatening manner.
Mr. Ford is extremely loyal and dedicated to his family and spends most days providing care for his elderly grandmother and maintaining her home. Now with him providing her care she is able to continue living in her home and not a nursing home.
Due to his present situation I have been assisting with the grocery shopping and care for his grandmother in his absence.
Summarily, I really cannot think of any consequence on a negative side of personality ledger when it comes to Mr. Ford. Overall, I would have to say that he is a fine, well - balanced man with an abundance of positive qualities. Additionally, he has a large and committed support system and if given leniency in this matter I am sure that he can emerge as an example of what others when given a second chance by court systems.
If you would like discuss ______character further, please feel free to call me at(xxx)xxx-xxxx
Sincerely,
