Condolence Letter - Death of My Fiance's Mother

My finance's mother passed away about 8 years ago. When she first told me I of course offered my condolences. But here's what I wish I had said.

Darling, I'm so incredibly sorry that your mother has left your side. There are no words that will take your pain away, or that will even dull it. And although I have dealt with the pain of losing a loved one, never has it been of someone as close and beloved as a parent.

And dealing with it requires strength and fortitude, which you have in abundance. Yes, you're strong - and may be one of the strongest people I know.

May God continue to strengthen you and lead you to a renewed appreciation for the gift of having the opportunities to be with loved ones as we journey through life.
