During your recent visit to Chastle University, I had the immense pleasure of speaking with you after your lecture on the Linguistics of Autism. In our conversation, we spoke of a possible opening in your studies. After some research on the requirements, I found I do indeed qualify.

I will remind you of how much I appreciated your suggestion of my competency to study under you. I have enclosed a copy of my resume and some examples of my works as application for the position. I would welcome the opportunity to work under your direction in any capacity. I respect your studies and I must be a part of this.
