I spotted your posting on campus, I couldn't believe my eyes! A recent graduate of Ohio State University's abnormal psychology program, I have been in search of a position that truly speaks to my career goals. After reading the background information of your facility I was thrilled to see several positions for observation specialist at your Sleep Disorder Center just became available.

I've hear many wonderful things about your center and of the contributions to the community it has made. This sounds like just the position I had my mind set on finding. I took notice that one of the positions is for the children's department inside your center. My numerous years of experience interacting with and counseling children (including many children suffering from sleep disorders) as well as my professional education and experience in both child psychology and abnormal psychology, would not only make me qualified observation specialist, but a passionate and dedicated one as well.

Please accept this letter in application for the observation specialist position currently available within the children's department of your center. I ask also, in lieu of the position in the children's department being filled, that you take this information into consideration for the other observation specialist positions inside the Sleep Disorder Center.
