Cover letter to decline position

November 30, 2010

Dear Mr. Anthony L. Marx,

Thank you so very much for allowing me the opportunity to visit with you at Farmer's Electricity. I was very impressed with the surroundings and the prime condition of your facility. The manner of professionalism of all of the personnel I met was equally impressive and set my anietxy to rest.

With the job market in the shape it's in today, it is rare a person gets to choose between job offers. As we discussed briefly, because of some of your employees gracious recommendations, I received job offers from several companies. I have chosen to move to accept one of the management positions of a company out of state. Their offer suits my needs perfectly and relocation costs will be completely covered by the company.

While I do appreciate your offer, I must decline at this time. From what I've learned about your company in this short time, I feel confident that you will find another candidate to fill this position shortly. Again, I thank you for your time and consideration and best wishes in your search.

Respectfully yours,
Martin A. Griggs
