A short while ago I had an excellent job, but just when I thought things couldn't get better, I was offered a career in the most beautiful part of the world. I hated to leave, but when it came time to submit my resignation letter, this is what I gave my boss of two years:

Dear Ms. Ann;

Please note that I am resigning from Julie Ann Dance Studio. In order to complete my two weeks notice, my last day will be December 15, 2007. I have accepted a position as an entertainer on a cruise ship.

I have truly enjoyed my time working at Julie Ann Dance Studio and I feel as though I have learned an incredible amount. I will hold my experience at Julie Ann Dance Studio close to my heart for years to come.

Inc closing, I am very willing to help train someone to take over my position.
