Glenn - below is the letter of recommendation for your friend, Andrea Brown, recommending her for a Head Soccer Coach position. I took some liberties by embellishing it with comments that may need to be fine tuned. Still, here it is for your consideration...

Dear Mr. Covington:

I am writing on behalf of Amanda Brown, a friend of 30 years and coworker for 10, recommending her for the Head Girl's Soccer Coach position at Union Academy.

Amanda is what you would expect a good friend to be. She's fun to be around, has a positive outlook on life and is kind and considerate towards others. She has a great attitude.

As a coworker she's a skilled manager who is equally adept at making sound, independent decisions while being able to at the same time effectively manage teams. She's a great work coach!

With regard to coaching soccer, Amanda has been a volunteer soccer coach for city league and junior high school teams for approximately the last 5 years. Several of those teams finished first place in their respective divisions; my son's 5th grade team was one of them.

Summarily, I think that Amanda has a unique combination of coaching experience and interpersonal skills that make her exceptionally qualified for the position of Head Girl's Soccer Coach, and if given an opportunity I think that she would excel in that role as she does in the rest of her life.
