I Love You, Now and Always

Letter For A Boyfriend

Letter For A Boyfriend

This Love Letter For a Boyfriend reflects love nurtured by hopes of things to be that eventually was dimmed by things that came to past.

Dear J;

I know we haven't talked in a long time, but you must know that I still think about you every day.

I fell in love with you the very first time that I saw you. You were on stage, and between the lights and your acting skills, I thought you had to be some handsome college kid: out of my league, but still fun to admire.

Then after the show, when I realized who you were, my crush seemed even more hopeless. So I put it aside, and went on with my life...but still kept a corner of my heart for you.

When I grew up, and we went out for dinner for the first time, I was so nervous I could hardly contain myself. I wore my best outfit, and asked myself what I was doing. I thought I was being crazy, but when you kissed me that night it felt so perfect.

I still remember the time we spent together as the happiest time of my life and I wish things hadn’t ended the way they did.

You have to understand that I would never have moved on to another person if you hadn’t kept pushing me away that spring and summer. You were the one I wanted, and you are still the one I want.

Now we’re so far apart, and I’m not sure if we’ll ever see each other again. It breaks my heart sometimes and there are nights when I lay awake all by myself and I wish so much that you could just be there with me for a little while.

I wish that I could just hug you and that we could chat the way we used to. I’m sure you’ve moved on, and I know you’re a very busy man, but I still haven’t given up hope.

Things are hard right now, but I’ll keep working and I’ll make it back home to see you again. Maybe then things will be different, and we can try again.

Until then, know that you have all my love and admiration.
