If I Knew Then What I Know Now

If I knew then, what I know now, we would still be together. But, my youth and ignorance could not see how special you were to me, and so I am alone, yet still in love with you.

It’s been many years since we had what we had, and my feelings have not wavered one bit. You treated me better than anyone else on this earth has. But, I took advantage of it. So now, in this letter, I want to say I am sorry.

You are an amazing person both inside and out, and back then, I could not see it. You encouraged me, supported me, took care of me, made me smile, spoiled me, and appreciated me. But, I took advantage of it. So now in this letter, I want to say I am sorry.

I have met many people since our relationship ended, and none of them can compare to you. I treated you bad, ignored you, cheated on you, laughed at you, criticized you, and didn’t give you the respect you deserved. Now that time has passed, I feel horrible for my actions. So now in this letter, I want to say I am sorry.

If the planets ever were to align, and we could work things out, I would be everything you need me to be and more. But, that is not the case right now. So now in this letter, I want to say I love you.
