The following Recommendation Letter is short, but very much to the point. Letters of recommendation don't have to be wordy; sincerity and brevity are an effective combination.

It is my pleasure to recommend Roxana Claveran for the position of clerk at your school. Roxana has subbed at Leonard Middle School for the secretary,counseling clerk, data clerk and attendance clerk positions for the 2010/2011 school year, and was effective in each one.

Roxana is a joy to work with; she is very friendly and able to handle any situation presented. She is also bilingual, which is a very big help with our non English speaking parents.

If given an opportunity I think you'll find that my recommendation is rather modest, as her energy and productivity are near boundless. If you need something done she's the person to see to it.
