Dear Mr. Jacob Thristle,

Referred by a colleague of mine, I would like to apply for the marsupial specialist position announced in The Protector. The opening appears to be the perfect opportunity to utilize my extensive background working hands-on with mammals, in particular with marsupials. Enclosed you will find my resume for your consideration. I have also included my listed references, all of whom will be more than pleased to speak with you personally or correspond via email.

I have spent the better part of the last five years working hands-on with a variety of mammals. I have had training and years of experience working with Wolves, Foxes and briefly, Lemurs. For the last five years however, I have worked extensively with Wallabies.

In addition to my work in the doctoral program at Lambic University, my current responsibilities also include volunteer work at the local Food Pantry and Shelter. As a liaison with the Chamberville Wildlife Rescue Center, I occasionally keep injured animals and assist in their rehabilitation. The brief description in the paper states the position will not be available until the beginning of August, which happens to coincide with the end of my studies.

If you are looking for someone who has the qualification, passion and dedication for this position, I think you will find all three of those desired qualities in me. Please browse my resume, certifications and references. I believe you will find me to be a worthy candidate, with my well-rounded professional background and extensive experience in this particular field. I would welcome the opportunity to become a part of your team and anticipate your correspondence. I appreciate your time and want to thank you again for this opportunity.

Sincerely,
Ms. Kimberly Reece
