When I first met you, I thought you were a terrible person. I didn't like you at all. I fell in love with you about the 3rd time we met. You proved to me that you weren't the person I thought you were, and that's a good thing.

You asked me to marry you and I said yes, but we were both bombed out of our heads. And although we have been together for over 20 years now, and that should say a lot, we never got married. That is ok with me because what's a piece of paper.

I love you just as much today and will maybe even more tomorrow. You are the most generous, unselfish person I know and I wouldn't trade you for the world.

I have never wanted for anything and you have given me the best gift that a girl could ever ask for, your companionship. Please know that I will never leave you unless it would make you happy.
