I Was Tempted To Resign,Too; But Chose To Stay
by: Lnaard

AD - I gather from your post that moving on was a calculated decision based on your belief that it was good for your career...and I know how that is. I have also resigned from previous jobs for similar reasons.

But I have also chose to stay put and turned down job opportunities that offered a lot more money than I was making at the time...and it so happen that those times were also strategic calculations to further my career:

One was a position that payed a lot more money, but it seemed to turn over at least once a year. Everybody who was in the job quit. I'm not the brightest crayon in the box, but I'm not the dullest either.

The other position also paid more money, but was a lesser position in terms of a step up on the career ladder. So, I chose to stay put where I was.

About a year of both those offers I found my way to a position that was a perfect fit for me. So, at least in that situation staying where I was worked out. I hope it does for you, too.
