The following resignation letter was submitted by Lisa. Alhough her writing style is different than mine, it's still a good letter you use as an example for your own.




Dear Jacob,

Please accept this as a formal notice of my resignation from the position of Executive Director of Technical Support Services with effect from today.

While I believe that I am moving for good reasons, I am still saddened about leaving, but thank you for your support during my time with the company, which has been enjoyable and fulfilling.

I really enjoyed working in your esteemed organization, both individually and as a member of a larger team. I thank you wholeheartedly for giving me an opportunity to have served in your organization.

Please make arrangements to relieve me at the earliest, hopefully in two weeks from now.
