Dear Mr Smith,
I am writing to give you official notice of my resignation from my current post of Accounts Clerk at KBY Partnership. As you are aware, I am currently in my 14th week of pregnancy and have been experiencing some health problems over the last few weeks.
I have come to the difficult decision that it is prudent for me to discontinue working in order to safeguard my own health and that of my child. My last day of service will be March 8th, as per the notice period required by my contract of employment.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for giving me the opportunity to work at KBY Partnership. The experience I have gained while in this post has been invaluable and I have greatly enjoyed working alongside the rest of the accounts team.
I will be happy to assist in any way I can in the recruitment and training process for my replacement and hope to help make the transition process as smooth as possible for everyone involved.
