This Sample Resignation Letter is about an Operations Manager who is resigning to take a position with another company. His letter reflects on several of the benefits of having worked for his current value and acknowledges how some of them will have a long lasting impact on his career. Here's the letter...

Dear Mr. Meheta;

I am writing to inform you of my resignation. My last day of work will be December 31, 2009. I recently signed an employment contract with The BEHEL Company as a Senior Manager of Operations.

I want to express my appreciation for your excellent leadership and counsel during the last 4 years. Under your supervision I have learned a lot about Targeting, Managing and Organizing new business sales. These skills will continue to be of great value as I move forward along my career path., both to me and my future employers.

Moreover, I have been fortunate to have been employed by BEHEL...and have witnessed first hand the importance and benefits of putting the customer first. That philosophy is just one of the many factors for why BEHEL is a recognized leader in its industry.

I will do my utmost to finish the projects that I am currently working on to effect for a smooth hand over. Finally, I am available, as needed, to assist with transitioning someone into my position however I can.

Sincerely,
