Resignation Sample Letter. The letter below tells of resigning from a job because of a reduction in hours and wages.
This happens more than most people might realize. Here's what the writer had to say...
"I worked for a local photo shop for more than ten years, until its' management had a total overhaul.
Wages and hours were cut across the board, so I decided to resign after many years with them.
Here's the letter I wrote."
Dear Mr. Schwinn,
I regret to be inform you that I am resigning from my position as Third Key Assistant Manager of the Clintonville Store. My last day of employment will be May 17, 2009.
I have enjoyed growing and working with and for the company. Sadly, there are very few family oriented companies like this one locally anymore. However, it was my personal fortune to have worked for yours.
It has been a pleasure learning the business, and in turn sharing what I've learned with other employees and serving the many wonderful and loyal customers. Thank you for these opportunities extended to me.
Finally, I am available, as needed, to assist with transitioning someone into my position however I can. Thankful and still eager to serve.
