The Sample Letter of Sympathy Condolence below was submitted by Beth for a friend whose mother died. Beth Described the friend's mother as a very special and caring person whom she loved dearly. Below is Beth's letter.

My Dearest Scott,

I cannot begin to fathom the pain of the separation you are feeling right now and wish with all of my heart that I could take away some of that sadness weighing down on your shoulders.

As you know, your mother was as a mother to me as I a daughter to her. She treated me and my children as her own and taught me more about patience and understanding of other people than any other person I have ever come in contact with. We had many conversations over these past few years that I will never forget - not for as long as I live.

I know that it is hard for you at this time, but I just want you to know that I am here for you if you need anything. My thoughts and feelings are with you at this moment. I love you very much.
