Sample Recommendation Letter For a Student Written By a Coworker
Most letters of recommendation follow a similar template: an introduction, a focus on the applicant’s strengths, and then a powerful (but not hyperbolic) conclusion. Below is an example of a letter of recommendation written for a college-bound co-worker.
*******************************************************
To Whom it May Concern:
I am writing this letter on behalf of Bernard Terry, who I believe is an excellent candidate for your college.
Bernard and I have worked together for almost a year and in that time I have come to respect him as an enthusiastic and self-motivated person. He has the drive to try new things but also the humility to ask for help when it is needed.
Bernard also takes a personal interest in those around him, holding them to the high standards to which he holds himself. Working with him has had a positive influence on my work and I feel that our coworkers are being affected in a similar way.
In closing, please accept this letter as an endorsement for accepting Bernard Terry into your college. If given the opportunity, I am sure that you will see that has the traits you expect to see in high achieving and successful students. I am fortunate to have worked with Bernard and feel he would make an excellent addition to your student body.
Sincerely,
Steven Huynh
