You are a lovely and supportive presence in my life. Even before we were together you were the best friend anyone could ever have. You were possibly the only good friend I had ever had.

When I met you you told me that I deserved better than what I had been getting. You helped me to leave behind the critical and negative people I used to spend time with.

You also introduced me to new friends I really click with and helped me to finally start doing the things I love again. I don't know if I'd be the creative, constantly inspired person I am today without you and I am so grateful for that.

My first love cheated on me and broke my heart. My second love constantly put me down and I don't even have words to describe my third. I don't need to though, you've heard it all before.

I thought relationships were difficult. I thought a relationship was a constant uphill struggle. But when we got together everything changed. It felt so natural. I felt comfortable with you.

I felt like I could be myself around you. I felt like I could meet you at the door without a pound of makeup on my face. I didn't always have to look my best or dress my best as long as I always tried to be my best.

I had always heard that in a real relationship you could just be yourself, but I guess I never actually believed it before I met you.

We can go anywhere together. You get along with my friends, my family, everyone. I never get tired of talking to you, never get tired of listening to you and somehow you never get tired of me.

I rant for too long sometimes, I talk your ear off, and somehow you stick around. You've made me a better person and I am so glad to have you in my life. Happy anniversary!
