Need a Thank You Letter For Scholarship? You do if you've won a scholarship...and if you have Congratulations!
One of the first tasks you'll want to take on is sending a prompt letter to the head of the scholarship committee.
You'll find this persons name on the letter you received indicating that you won the scholarship.
If there is no specific name, you can address the letter to the scholarship committee itself.
A thank you letter shows that you are willing to go the extra mile to prove your gratitude to the person or persons that chose you for it.
It is a special honor to be chosen for a scholarship and therefore it is appropriate to show your acknowledgment of that honor.
It is important to remember to formally address the person or persons that this letter is to as well as formally end the letter with your full name.
Below is a letter template to use:
Dear Mr. Doe (or To The Acme Scholarship Committee);
I want to thank you for choosing me as the recipient of the Acme Academic Scholarship.
It is truly an honor! I am so appreciative to you and the committee for acknowledging my hard work and perseverance thus far in my educational career.
I will use this scholarship to further my education and continue to produce academic results that exceed expectations. I promise to continue to strive for excellence!
Thank you again for choosing me to be your scholarship recipient for the 2009-2010 academic year. Have a great day!
